How to pay for solar panels
Customers have plenty of options when deciding how to pay for their solar system. And government programs can help greatly lower the cost.
Financing

1
Cash
By paying for your system in cash, you'll see immediate savings on your electric bill.
2
Loans
Financing institutions offer loans for solar installations, such as a home equity line of credit. Loans can be a great option to make a large purchase like a solar system.
3
Grants and rebates
In addition to the 30% tax credit for solar, the federal government and some utilities offer grants and rebates for adding solar panels to your home.
REAP Grants

The U.S. Department of Agriculture offers guaranteed loans and grants to agricultural producers and rural small businesses to add solar panels.

Under the program, known as the Rural Energy for America Program, or REAP, grants can cover up to half of the project cost!

Real Solar has plenty of experience working with customers seeking REAP funding. Give us a call today to learn how you can apply.
